search software for an Intranet on IIS

Why stop when I'm on a roll...  Our company has a small Intranet based on an
NT/IIS server.  The Index Server "component" does not always function as
expected.  After I resolve issues with search problems on the Intranet,
something changes down the road and we encounter error messages. 

Can any of you recommend a third-party software package that will provide
the following:
-	ability to create multiple directory indexes, each unique to it's
own purpose
-	provide a comprehensive results page with options for display i.e.
summary, subject/title only...
-	flexibility in administration and editing the code
