Hi Jim.
If visitors have a Firewall product such as Zone Labs Zone Alarm PRO,
they can prevent pop-up ads. I use it at home on my Windows PC and
haven't seen a pop-up since! It's great for those game code sites that
the kids want to visit. You get blasted by pop-ups there if not
protected.
I suggest you get a copy of ZA Pro and test it out while viewing pages
on your site. Else, contact me for further information on how we can
arrange a test of your site / pop-up pages from my home PC. This
weekend or next week would be best.
>From my understanding, people who use the Opera browser can instruct it
to not allow pop-up ads/ browser windows. Gotta love that!

Subject: Pop-up ad software and window pop-ups
I have a site that uses JavaScript to pop-up a new and smaller browser
window that contains additional information when a visitor clicks on a
link
to them. If someone installs these pop-up ad killer add-on programs,
will
that kill my good intentioned pop-ups, or is that different thing
altogether?
TIA
