Hi John,
Thanks for your reply.
> 1) What version of Netscape is giving you problems?
I've installed Communicator 4.7 from a PC magazine CD. It's sitting on
Win98 SE with IE still resident (and probably dominant). I didn't notice
broken image links when I checked the site on-line or off-line; perhaps
there are more issues here than I first thought. You said that the site
looked fine to you - what did you notice about the page layout, particularly
text?
2) What is a "dog's breakfast?" (We have tons of colloquialisms here in the
southern US, but that's a new one on me.)
A "dog's breakfast" basically refers to something that is a total mess. Not
complimentary to most meals put down for our canine friends, I know. We had
a lovely old dog in Adelaide, SA who _really_ loved her food. Most of it
went down her throat, but she managed to get a lot of it on the floor,
cupboards, etc. Hence, "like a dog's breakfast".
Your comments about Top Style Lite are well taken. I've been using it since
Allaire combined it with HS 4.5. I checked the style sheet out
(http://www.seaeagle.aunz.com/sep_1d.css) using that program and found
minimal problems. Little things were highlighted - such as font-variant (no
idea why I use that option, now - it's always set to normal) and height.
These shouldn't break text formatting, though.
Thanks for your comments, though. Hope my reply is of assistance.
Cheers,

Henry,
Your site appears to work fine under both NS 4.72 and NS 2.02 on
Windows. However, links to several images are broken.
Two questions:
1) What version of Netscape is giving you problems?
2) What is a "dog's breakfast?" (We have tons of colloquialisms here in
the southern US, but that's a new one on me.)
A suggestion:
Kehvan gave you info on browser sniffing, but another approach would be
to use CSS to its best effect by using its features judiciously. You can
design for HTML 4.01 and CSS 1, so that everything is functional,
although some of the features may not display identically in all
browsers. A really good tool to accomplish this is TopStyle, which will
show you which CSS features work under which browsers. You can find
information on it at http://www.bradsoft.com/topstyle/index.asp.
