Your logo image that you have split into two sections are both of different
widths. Would making them the same width help.

I didn't have a close look but for a bit of mouse drag detective work I can
see that a margin [the one you back your row of non breakers into for your
consistant menu option alignment] holds firm in both examples. What changes
is the alignment of the image??

Make image both the same width and will that eliminate the decision on
alignment that the user agent has to make?
