Hi Gerry

I apologise if I am speaking out of turn (I am by no means a web expert or
for that matter an expert on Access) BUT I am A QUARTER of  an expert on
Access <grin> ....I only joined this list today so that I could learn more
about the technical side of web design

Depending on the graphic size they intend to use having that many graphics
embedded into Access (in my experience) would slow it SUBSTANTIALLY. I have
a similar situation in that I have an Access Database of Video titles that I
use for my business WITH graphics (around 5000 titles) with the graphics
being around 500K each . I store all the graphics on the hard drive and have
them import when needed.

I have a small database that I can send you (Access of course) which will
show you (via code) how this is acheived.

I would venture to say also that this would be an easier way for you to set
up for the web as as Access would be able to export (with the path details
you specifiy(eg C:\pic_001.tif)) in a flat delimited text file and all they
would have to do is send you the text file and the graphics.

This DB by the way is Access 97

I usually like to lurk around for a while to get the feel for a group before
I "Jump In" after reading one or two  posts but this seemed like it was "up
my street" so to speak. There are usually people that have FAR more
knowledge than I and I like to feel that out first....but here goes...
