Please note that though many clip art may be "royalty free" most can not be
used on commercial sites or on business literature. You really need to read
the small print in the license agreement. Clip art and images are two
different things as is high-res and low-res images.
My experience with www.arttoday.com has not been a good one. I tried out
their "free" area first to get an idea of what they had (I needed images for
a brochure I was doing) and they seemed to have fairly decent images. So I
paid for the one-year service and once I got a look at what they had, I soon
realized it was not good enough. Their clip art is good but I found that for
most of the "business" images they were using what seemed to be staff
members posing a their desks in different poses. It looked like they did one
shoot were the person just made a small subtle change in position a hundred
times and each change was shot.
Within two days, I e-mailed their customer service department and asked for
a refund. They refused saying I should had looked at their free stuff first
to get an idea. I said I did and that their free images did not represent
what they had in their paid service. Their response - too bad.
I'm very big on customer service and something like this is enough for me to
never go back or recommend the service. I guess it depends what you are
looking for but as far as "people in business poses" is concerned - it was
not a good selection.
My opinion only - someone else may have had a different or better
experience.
