Seems to be common...I know it was during the 3.2 days.  I guess I am used
to lower case because its the accepted in so many programming
languages...and most are case sensitive.  To be honest, I am personally glad
to see HTML moving toward a more uniform formatting goal. I just think
computer languages should be orderly, no matter what standards are settled
on.  Even if XHTML wasn't on the horizon, my shop would be coding to a
standard (sortta like an printer's style sheet!)

We have adopted the lowercase style, with all tags closed, empty elements
use the trailing slash and etc.  If nothing else, it gives us an internal
standard to code by...:)
