I downloaded 6 and have had no problem with it. as a matter of fact I did
not lose my old 4.76 and so far no competition or request to be "default"
browser-yet.

Actually, I went to download a program using IE 5.5 the afternoon after
loading in NN 6 and the Netscape Smart Downloader popped up, then refused to
recognize the certificate from the site I was trying to download from,
therebye cancelling the download. I had to go into the Smart Download
preferences and choose for it NOT to come up anymore.
<sarcasm>
Ah, the good old days are here again! I remember when every alternating
release of NN or IE would attempt to destroy the other one's default
settings. I'm glad to see Netscape and Microsoft back at the game again.

Thanks for that, Richard, I've just done it. It does let you download
setup.exe from the ftp; when you install that, it puts a huge advert for
Smart Download all over your screen, but it doesn't make you use it!!
