Well, in my case, the shopping cart that I use puts a cookie on thier
system, so that when they come back next time to place an order it
remembers them and fetches their data they already had from a previous
order. Sort of a time saver for he customer thing. This can be made to
last for a day or a month, or longer that setting is up to me. The default
of this cart is 3 days, and I left it that way. So on the fourth day if the
customer comes back they have to fill out their name and address all
over again. It doesn't save credit card info however. So in my case it
is sort of a time saving messure for the customer.
