In run applet on panel (or run form - Alt+F2) I "type":
ftp://username:password@someftpserver
(autocomplete - first few letters / history - up, up...)
Open file. Add <? note ('PHP is cool!') ?> Save.
It is fast (few clicks away) and it can also be consistent
(every note looks the same) and can be put on every page if
you do it right (headers, footers).
And if you find yourself doing that too often and/or would
like someone else to do it, you could also write password
protected HTML interface for it.
WYSIWYG only makes visual sense. What about:
- blind
- computers (e.g. spiders)
- older browsers
- text browsers
