INSERT turns text into array ??!

Hi all. This annoying problem has just started happening for something which
was working fine up to yesterday and hasn't been altered. I have a form
which uses PHP to insert data into a MySQL database. On reviewing what I've
just entered, one of the fields has suddenly started always showing up as
'array'. Everything else is fine. It's also fine if I UPDATE to correct the
field. Could anyone give me a clue as to why this might be happening - I
don't even know what I'm looking for to fix it!!
