hi kehvan
that's a poor solution -- no offence ;o)
non-javascript browsers cannot use those links at all!!
see a full explanation and suggested solution in this tutorial --
Links & JavaScript Living Together in Harmony

i understand the desire to have off-site links open in a new window
it is quite a common practice, but that does not make it good
it comes from the insecurity of site owners who want visitors to click to
another site and yet still have their site stay open in the original window
my personal opinion is that the whole concept of forcing second windows
upon unsuspecting site visitors is flawed
give site visitors more credit
many do not want second windows
many know how to open second windows by themselves
even if links open in the same window, if your site has compelling content,
they will be back
think about it, and think about why the w3c deprecates the target attribute
