Hi!
I'm wondering if perhaps they don't have an application called Alive, =
or
something similar that pings several sites at random or periodic interval=
s to
keep their connection alive. In which case, it's okay to block their IP
address.

that's one type of service you can sign up for on the web, they will page=
you or email you or whatever when the server they're watching goes down
another type is a notification service where you register a page with the=

that you want to keep tabs on, and they notify you when the page has been=
updated -- although this type, i can't see them hitting your home page
every 332 seconds just to see when it gets updated....
but yeah, blocking the ip seems okay to do, until a human being lets you
know why they're doing it...
