In my case, it's simple. We're an NT house and, at least for the time
being, any flavor of unix is verboten (fear of the unknown). My main
intranet machine is running OmniHttpd and perl. I just want to set up a
second machine to make some existing Access databases webcentric and
"thought" ASP and PWS on Win98 (not iis) would be the quickest route. I
haven't attempted to deal with the Win32 version of Apache yet but I have
played with it on Linux at home.
Please not that I am not unix-phobic. I administered, sold and supported
unix-based CAD systems for many years. Unfortunately, I have to live with
commandments from on high.

Hi,
I am not suggesting a solution to your problems - I haven't worked at all with
ASP. What I want to ask is: why do people want to use ASP/IIS? Why not use
Apache with php? I haven't done any fancy stuff with Apache, but a basic setup
requires just the installation and changing two lines in one of the three
configurtation files (these have perhaps now been merged into one configuration
file). And you're ready to go!!
