You might want to talk like an artist, about "the fluid nature" of the
"medium" of HTML and its limitations, along with its flexibility. Be
prepared to try to "translate her concepts" right there on the spot
--offering proactive suggestions about converting her fantastic ideas into
a fast, workable yet stylish, interpretation of her superb print
work. Don't say NO IT CAN'T HAPPEN right away or too often, say you'll SEE
IF THERE'S A WAY (and then look, there might be).
Then she might be happier to work out a compromise on her design with you,
or come up with one that's more translatable.
In my experience, PDF attachments don't really work, unless people are
warned about them (our exp. making graphics-heavy PDF docs is that they're
large). I don't think they automatically open in most email clients, either.
