Kym,
What kind of host is this for? I am not aware of an OS that has the
underscore listed as an illegal character for file names. We have enough
problems with people trying to spaces in the UNIX file names. Perhaps this
is something wrong at a server level or a rule of thumb for a certain kind
of server operating system?

What is your browser and OS? It may be that your browser is acting flaky?
Or if it is not IE or NN, maybe it has a learning curve to overcome with
the way file names are constructed for servers?

The curious thing to me is that others can see the files and you cannot.
That implies to me that maybe it is something to do with your computer and
not your audience in general.
