Hi Folks,
I'm using a power Mac 6500.
First, the printer has its own port. Second, my scanner has a SCSI
connection which is daisy chained with an external hard drive.

I leave them connected but only turn them on if I am going to work with them.

Knowing what computer you have, your device will probably come with the
proper connector cable. You might need an assist to configure your
computer and device for which port it will be assigned to.

I suggest you try to buy your scanner locally so the vender can answer
questions directly.

Just for a little info about connecting peripherals on a Mac, I have a
small box called a MacMan to which I connect a MIDI keyboard. I also use
it for easy connecting of my printer which I can readily switch for the
digital camera connection since all three use the printer port.

Go ahead and get your sanner! It's a great tool!!

TTFN,
Lois Duckworth
