In addition to the advice from "2Nerotik," keep in mind that this feature is
sometimes a "premium" service offered by domain hosting companies. Some may
charge extra for this priviledge, others may not. Some may have the feature
activated already and will likely have intructions on how to use it buried
somewhere on their site, others may require you to email or phone-in a
request to have it activated. And, of course, some may not offer this
feature at all. Your best bet is to contact the Tech Support department of
the hosting company in question and ask them.

As an aside, my hosting company allows for replacement of ALL error pages
simply by naming the page you want brought up as the error number followed
by .htm (not .html, .asp, .cfm, or any other extension). This allows not
only 404 (not found), but 401 (unauthorized), 403 (forbidden), 500 (server
error), and all the others that I might want to use. Other companies allow
this, too, but rarely mention it, which is why actually talking to someone
in Tech Support (like the lead or head person in charge, rather than one of
the "peons") is generally the best bet.

Good luck!
