possible books you might want to look at

- Profession XML, Wrox Press
- XML by Example, Que
- Developing XML Solutions (if you're in a MS environment or want to know 
more about what MS is doing with XML), MicroSoft Press
- XML: A Primer, IDG Books
- XML Elements of Style, McGraw-Hill (same author as above but a little 
more advanced)
- Mastering XML, Sybex (which includes Ann Navarro in it's author list and 
looks to be a thorough text)

of the ones I've browsed at B&N .... these are the ones I liked well 
enough to take home.  They cover a fairly wide spectrum and are presented 
in varying learning styles (some being more tutorial-like)

Take a browse at bn.com or amazon.com.  There are a lot of choice and many 
more awaiting delivery over the next couple of months.
