You may need to give the IUSR account add and read perms to the winnt folder
so that jet can write temp files.
Also may need to be able to delete temp files (definitely for MS Access) so
you need to watch where these are being created (probably same folder as
database) and grant appropriate perms.
Also check that the database AND the DSN are not marked as Exclusive. I also
set connection pooling for the Access driver (which is not the default), and
use ver 4.00.4202.00 of the driver. Mine's only a small intranet, so
there'll be lots I've missed. The vdirectory has only read perms, but the
users (intranet) have read, write and delete (NTFS) to the database folder
Does it work with a simple system DSN? You often have problems if the DSN
contains an UNC path, esp if the resource is secured and trying to use
challenge and response for authentication instead
of basic. Access isn't at all good if they expect more than a few hits BTW.
