That's also the impression I got. He wasn't listening to me when I tried
to get him on focus. He just kept rambling. He even had me watch a
promotional video about one of his products... like he was trying to sell
me on his product so I could help with his marketing strategy.

This is the impression I got. He wants someone to outline a business plan,
a marketing plan, and a website for him. 'S not my job.

I saw a definite use for a website to push his product. I even had design
ideas plopping into my head when we discussed it. But all of the other
crapola that he was talking about wasn't IMO the type of thing the internet
is useful for; and if it *is* a good idea to put them on the internet,
he'll need to streamline/outline/focus his thoughts and ideas a lot more
before anyone would be able to put it together for him.

Thank you all for your input! I feel better about the whole thing after
reading all of these responses.  I know that my gut feeling wasn't wrong;
and if I decide to ditch this guy I won't be doing something terrible.

It'll be interesting to see if he calls me after reading the info I left
with him.
